Biografía
- Shanghai-born, Singapore-raised and educated in London, Eden has a track record nothing short of impressive. With the ability to transcend the boundaries of genres, Eden’s fusion of bass music, house, disco & soul renders his wide acclaim and demands.Dubbed as the most badass DJ to have ever graced the decks of the North London-situated Silver Bullet club. It did not take too long for the London circuit to recognize the many talents of this Shanghai-born, Singapore raised creative. While juggling a double life between night and day, Eden has played alongside Joey Negro, Norman Jay (MBE), Joker, Caspa, Giles Peterson and many other luminaries. Since take off, he has played in Berlin and Stockholm, completed several collaborative projects with 12-3 Recordings and its artists. His capability as a global DJ has proven once again at the inaugural Intel PowerUp DJ competition which he was placed as runner-up, while his set has gained praises from the judges; Benji B and Zed Bias. Back in Asia, the sound of Eden did not cease as he ran the longest running residency and weekly Friday Affairs mixtape show on now-defunct China’s one and only electronic dance radio station, UDance Radio China. On a larger scale, Eden has supported Stereophonics, Rudimental, Mumdance, toured with Laura Steele and performed at summer festivities both in and outside London, including a show with ClockWork at the 2014 Berlin Festival. His next ambitious project is to adopt the “Great Wall of Sound” and turn it into a globally recognised music label, receiving attention from Grammy-nominated multi-platinum producer, J-Vibe, local grime/Hip-Hop outfit, Ksounds, producer Sam Frank and other luminaries. Established in 2012, Great Wall of Sound has since released 2 albums, several Eps and also launched a merchandise brand called MerciMuse that focuses on combining design and heritage. Currently located back in Singapore, Eden is an extended crew member of Baow Baow (宝宝), a Collective that is strongly rooted in the Bass scene. Other projects involved with are #Vinyloftheday and Singapore Community Radio, platforms that curate culturally creative content. As a resident DJ for Louis Vuitton Singapore, Eden still holds down club nights and festivities.
