Biografía
- Alejandro Molinari is a Venezuelan-born, Berlin-based producer who in recent years has become one of the strongest proponents of Dark Disco and Indie Dance, forging a unique aesthetic that transcends a wide array of musical and cultural references.Drawing inspiration from a range of styles such as Post-Punk, Darkwave, and the origins of Techno, Alejandro uses analogue synthesizers, guitar riffs, and the Solfeggio to suffuse his soundscapes with unique electro-magnetic frequencies. His music is multilingual, with tracks produced in English, French, Spanish, and German. Underpinning this vast musical and cultural foundation is Alejandro’s interest in occultism and supernatural archaeology. Alejandro Molinari has toured extensively all around the world, performing DJ sets and Live Acts in legendary clubs such as Katerblau (Berlin), Wilde Renate (Berlin), Kitkat (Berlin), La Station - Gare de Mines (Paris), Café Berlin (Madrid), Opium (Lithuania), Yaga Gathering (Lithuania), M.N. Roy (México City), Funk and Foro Normandie (Mexico City). Alejandro Molinari’s music and remixes have been released on NEIN Records, Playground Records, Roam Recordings, Mange Moi, Melomana Records, Logical Records, Bottom Forty, and Phisica. His tracks have been featured on platforms such as Resident Advisor, Rinse FM, BBC Radio, Sinchi Collective, Les Yeux Orange, ClubbingSpain, and Ransom Note. In 2016, Alejandro Molinari released his first official EP ‘Break the Bricks’ with the Japanese label Blindetonation. The track ‘Peso Muerto’ brought him wide acclaim and bears the unmistakable influence of his time spent living in Mexico and his immersion in the techno scene with the likes of Mijo, Daniel Maloso, Rebolledo, and Thomas Jacksonn. His release ‘Discoteca Mexicana’ and his remix of Cabizbajo’s ‘The Race’ charted #2 on Beatport’s Top 10 Indie Dance tracks of 2018. His remix of Sex Kino’s ‘Who Do You Love’ was Beatport’s #1 Top Indie Dance track in May 2019. Recently, his remix of ‘Me Rifo’ by Ali X & Ximena was added to Resident Advisor’s playlist of the most influential tracks of Dekmantel. His latest EP 'Santo Ritmo’ was released on Barcelona-based label Playground Records and includes remixes by Mijo, Middle Sky Boom, Teniente Castillo, and Nahuel. Just recently, he released the EP ‘Noche de Berlin’ on NEIN Records, with remixes by Technobethon, Dino Leny, Max Jones and Ali X & Ximena.
