- Owner of the Spanish labels Suruba and Suruba Digital with his partner Delmar, is the 50% of the band HeadphonesHead. VARO will release this year his first track MADTHUMBS and two remixes for Tigerskin and Gus Dallas.Alvaro Munoz aka VARO (26) has been heavily involved with electronic music for over 10 years. Along with his partner Delmar dos Santos, in february of 2004 he founded Suruba, a platform for electronic music and multimedia art situated in Madrid, where he works as DJ, producer, promoter, and designer. VARO is the 50% of the band HeadphonesHead formed with Delmar. Name used in Live acts and when they work together in the studio. Through his years of experience and his various preformances in clubs ranging from Barcelonas Moog or City Hall, the Subrrealist Le Rachdingue to Madrids mythicals Soma, Nature and One, he has developed an effective and danceable style, which is clearly anything but boring. Without parting too much from techno, electro, tech-house, the music you can listen to in his sets includes anything from minimal to funk. VARO has played in numerous places and cities of Spain and Portugal, for example Barcelona (Moog, City Hall, Fellini, Kubik), Madrid (One, Soma, Revolver Club, Nature, The Jungle, Quick, Wind, Wonka), Gerona (Le Rachdingue), Salamanca (Beatz), Cádiz (Mambo, Penélope), Mallorca (Basic Elements), Gran Canaria (Chic), Menorca (Jazzbah, Ars, Terraza Grill), Huelva (Euphorica), Lugo (Egipto Club), Portugal (The Day After, Suede). In cooperation, VARO and Delmar have created the label Suruba, a powerfull and creative label, which in March of 2007 will release its first record elaborated and produced by the two, called Madthumbs whit a remix of Gus Dallas. His second release was the remix of the Sequenced frame of Tigerskin, included in the Suruba002. The next release is the remix of Braindrops/Suruba004 by Gus Dallas. In only 3 releases, in his label, Suruba, had worked artists like Dub Taylor aka Tigerskin, Anthony Collins, Ludovic Vendi, Gus Dallas and of course VARO and Delmar. At the end of the summer 2007, was born his second label, Suruba Digital.
