Biografía

  • I believe that life is short and you'd better make money while you can because otherwise you'll die and you won't have gold cars or a house with a drawbridge or anything cool like that, and that's well shit. I discovered that spinning obscure balearic..
Microsoft. Google. Sony. Coca-Cola. Death Strobe Records. Disco Delicious. You may have heard of these brands. Andy runs two of them. Inbetween business meetings with the world's top executives and ribbon-cutting ceremonies, he likes to play disco records and write self-help books. Once a drummer, now a revolver of discs, Andy spins groovy passages of disco, funk, psychedelic, deep house and other assorted joints. As a label man, the records he's released on his Death Strobe and Disco Delicious imprints have been loved and jockeyed by cool people like Erol Alkan, Todd Terje, Greg Wilson, The Revenge, Andrew Weatherall and LCD Soundsystem's Pat Mahoney. Having run a whole bunch of groovy parties around Sydney with Picnic, Andy has also been kidnapped to spin records in Auckland, Melbourne and Brisbane, on top of gigs at Splendour In The Grass and The Sydney Opera house for Vivid Live. Some DJs lucky enough to support him include DJ Harvey, Floating Points, Moodymann, Space Dimension Controller, Darshan Jesrani of Metro Area, Ivan Smagghe, DJ Nature, DJ Sprinkles, Anthony Naples, Superpitcher, Daniel Wang and Soichi Terada - nice.
