- ARTEFAKTOSEmerging from the south city of Ponce, Puerto Rico's underground art and music scene, ARTEFEKZ comes with a vanguard audio visual collective project. The year 2007 marks the debut of these artists with its main members, a producing electro-band. Teamed up to do their own style, Francisco Tarrio, Jorge Montes and Yisam Vázquez began collaborating with each other searching for a fresher sound that combines powerful electro, intelligent house, superb techno drums, sweet melodies and sound designs that appeal to our deepest emotions and make our bodies move to their sexy and suggestive beats. With an original repertoire, a unique live performance and some sort of organic collaboration of people involved who contribute to a full audio visual artistic experience; ARTEFEKZ was established as an innovative and vibrant act by playing an interesting combo of flow and attitude with riffs, loops, basses and beats, and fresh sounds for the soul. Though they have different musical influences, they have accomplished a combination of taste and talent to produce their own creative visual effects and music proposal based on interpretation of the sounds of tomorrow with a very intense human touch. Combining strong multimedia production backgrounds (JM’s studies in music and Yisam’s degrees in Recording Arts, Film Production and Graphic Design), ARTEFEKZ represents a past-post-modern musical proposal that travels between digital and analog sounds, designed by the band that places Puerto Rico a step ahead in Electronic Live Performing Arts. ARTEFEKZ gained much of their experience and respect by working with the most notorious promoters and clubs in Puerto Rico, it was these events where they had the opportunity to play alongside top names in club music, from Armin Van Buuren and Roger Sanchez, to Rabbit In The Moon and Bad Boy Bill, to name a few, proving that no matter how different their style was, ARTEFEKZ was always sharing the bill.
