The intricate attention to detail that follows is a reflection of his attuned, widespread musical knowledge; whether it’s sampling vocals from his numerous influences, the devotion to detail put forth sets him apart. The last year has seen Azaad unleash a streak of releases on highly regarded labels such as MicroHertz and Beeyou. The releases were well received and supported throughout, gathering airtime from the likes of Archie Hamilton, Laidlaw, Brawther and Tristan Da Cunha. Azaad’s sound can be described as a representation of his London roots and the scene of which he is an active member. Az has performed across all the major clubs in his hometown and in Europe mainly in the Netherlands. His own project “No Gimmicks” is an event and podcast series serving as a platform to promote new talent and as a fundraiser for YoungMinds, a mental health charity for the youth.
