Biografía

  • Founder and A&R of Barbur Room channel and Barbur Music (label), Marco Barbiero splits the time between his homeland (Puglia, Italy) & Berlin, after some years living in the german capital, where he founded his underground music platforms.
Barbur Room hosted international artists such as Charlotte De Witte, Deborah De Luca, Chus & Ceballos, Riva Starr, Anfisa Letyago, Giorgia Angiuli, Juliet Sikora, Fatima Hajji, Anna Tur, Hito, Nakadia, Simina Grigoriu, Niko Schwind, Hector Romero & many others. Eclectic as few, Marco's music culture is truly impressive. His sets move between melodic, deep & techno sound, often wandering in many shades of electronic music, but often finding those classic old school house music songs that are “the icing on the cake”. In 2016 Barbur drew attention for his massive remix of Simina Grigoriu’s “Nunchaku”, debut work on her own techno label, Kuukou Records. In 2020 Marco launched his own label, Barbur Music, releasing good melodic & techno music and finding new talents all over the world. In 2021 Barbur launched also Berlin Techno Music, a music channel dedicated to the techno and hard techno sonorities, focused on the world music capital city’s sound. In the last years Barbur has collaborated with Alexi Delano, Julian Wassermann, Simina Grigoriu, Alex Kennon, Millok, Claude Monnet and many other artists with remixes and EPs on labels like Nomade Records, Nite Grooves, Frequenza, Kuukou Records & his own Barbur Music. Marco has also been invited on Cadenza Podcast by the big boss Luciano and his mixes are hosted on important international platforms like Ibiza Global Radio, Electronic Groove, Deep House Amsterdam, Data Transmission, Pioneer DJ Radio, Music is 4 Lovers & many other channels all over the world.
