Rave on!1990s and early 2000s Playing guitar, playing bass, playing in bands. First impressions of electronic music, first turntables, first vinyl … discover a passion. 2005 - 2007 Primary known as a resident in various local clubs, Bastian quickly developed a strong name beyond the local level through his technically sophisticated and grooving dj-sets. Bastian performed gigs at the legendary ‘U60311' Frankfurt, the season opening at ‘El Divino’ at the party-island Ibiza, and with the ‘Global Players’ at that time at ‘Elektroküche' Köln. 2008 Own productions came from Bastian’s studio at the pictorial Westerwald. His first releases on 040 Recordings established him a solid start as a producer. His creations earned favorable reviews: the scene-magazine Raveline gave a 5-point rating and his new releases appeared in the top ten of the most-respected club-music-portals. In addition to his own projects, Bastian remixed for scene stars like Broombeck (Opossum Rec. Terminal M) and Lars Wickinger (Traum Schallplatten, Liebe*Detail). Schieber Productions was attracted by this achievements and released a grooving EP, which also became a great success. 2009 Bastian’s ‘Comprende? EP‘ and the second release on the ambitious label Taktgeber Musik gained wide recognition and his sounds appeared in the cases of the scene-stars … he got full support from Loco Dice, Someone Else and Till West. Bookings in Berlin, Frankfurt and Cologne made 2009 a very successful year. 2010 The beginning of a musical reinvention. New productions and impressions were not released. 2012 After three years Bastian presents the relaunch of his website, a facebook-artist-page, a new one-hour-of Bastian Herold-promo-mix with the headline ‘This is 2012!’ and he also appears as one of two hosts of the new party-series ‘GrauerRaum’ … Bastian is back in business! Deep & minimal flavoured…grooving but also straight … experimental and genre-independent elements … the next step in a never-ending musical development process was reached.
