Beatfanatic aka Beatconductor / Ture Sjoberg started record collecting and then DJing during the late 80´s things changed up a gear as he became inspired by the boom of dance music; house, hip hop and the rare groove scene.
Taking inspiration from reel to reel mixers like Tom Moulton, he created his first releases for the Raw Fusion label. His debut album “Adventures in the world of no-fi beats” was a unique mix of discobeats, latingrooves and hiphop.
The next step saw Ture set up his own label, Soundscape records. He released the acclaimed album The Gospel According to Beatfanatic and has since released five more albums and a bunch of 12’s on his label. Beatfanatic also released the track “Sticky” by Stockholm Cyclo which was licensed for a Hed Kandi compilation.
Remixing has always been a favoured pass time and he has remixed Alice Russell, Herbie Hancock and his masterpiece Jose Gonzales – Killing for Love (Beatfanatic remix). A track that was also licensed by Hed Kandi.
Beatfanatic has always used a few aliases. His most famous being Beatconductor. Beatconductor released several tracks on the GAMM label and also on his Spicy label. Famous artists like Lionel Richie, Tina Turner, Stevie Wonder and Hall and Oates have all been successfully reworked by Beatconductor.
Ture is an artist in constant progress. After remixing Vangelis – Let it Happen, Beatfeanatic has found a new musical direction and his current style can be described as eclectic electronic disco or cosmic nudisco.
