The story of Hamburg based producer & DJ “Benjamin Kruse” started in a small town in the north of Germany. Benjamin grew up as family’s youngest with his two older brothers Vincenzo (Poker Flat, Dessous, Teardrop) and Florian Kruse (NRK, Dieb Audio, je t’aime) who are known names in the electronic music scene. Fascinated and interested he always had an eye on the development and success of his brothers while getting known. Electronic music became part of his life and that’s why he started to produce his own music in 2004. Benjamin’s sound has a wide range from deep to techy, from warm up to get up, but always made with heartblood and passion to the music, following the aim to make the people loose theirselves on the dancefloor. People who influence Benjamin a lot are of course his brothers Vincenzo and Florian Kruse, but also John Tejada, Lovebirds, Huxley & Ethyl and Matthias Meyer, to name just a few. At the “Bar Rossi”, a wellknown pub in Hamburg’s trendy district “Sternschanze”, he found his home as a DJ. In 2008 Benjamin had his first release on Save Room Recordings with his portugese friend “Tiago Marques” called “The Attic EP”, where Benjamin’s track “Time” (which got great feedback from Bangana’s “Alf Tumble” and other great producers) has been included. There has also been a collaboration between Florian Kruse, Tiago Marques and him on this EP which is called “Deeep”. After that Benjamin was proud to do a remix for Rob Salmon’s “The Drive Home”, which has also been released on Save Room. Producers like Shur-i-khan, Stel, Audio Soul Project and Dualton gave big ups for Benjamin’s remix. A release in 2009 on "Brown Eyed Boyz" followed. "A Soulmate Is What You Really Need EP" includes "Florian Kruse" & "Matthias Vogt" remixes and entered Beatport’s Deep House Top 100 charts. There will definitely be more to come. For him it’s the beginning of a long journey through the electronic music scene.
