Bill Desman, who started DJ’ing around 12 years ago, was mainly influenced by Carl Cox back then. Tribal and offbeat techno was his passion… until he came across Ritchie Hawtin. Amazed by the silences between the music, he began to realize the importance of the fundamentals. Bass heavy minimal without long melodic notes was what he played. This proved to be a winning formula as he has got to the top of many contests, had a local radio show in the Netherlands (Dynamix), hosted one of the best party nights in his local town and has played in some of the best clubs and festivals (Rotterdam Fast Forward Dance Parade was his main event). Around that time Bill Desman also started messing around with music production. He also got in touch with a (still) good friend Philogresz (DJ, Engineer and Producer) and helped run the label TEAM Records. Through this friendship he learned many skills that eventually got him some releases (ENW Sjit [TEAM Records], Forgive Me [TEAM Records] and together with Philogresz as Bleep Boutique, Artifical Nature [TEAM Records]). Due to circumstances, Bill Desman had to step away from DJ’ing for a few years. Although he had stopped, his hands were constantly itching to start again. In his spare time he still worked on his own productions. As he wasn’t listening to other music that much, his tracks were less and less inspired by others and more and more his own personal creation. Slowly, all the previous styles started merging, taking the deep melodic elements from techno, low end from the minimal, groove from the offbeat techno, all with a new addition of low BPM, more human house.
