Biografía
- ...Bird of Paradise is an alias for Jo Howard, the young UK producer who came to prominence via his output on labels such as Jennifer Cardini's Correspondant imprint and New Yorks 'Throne of Blood'. Recognised for his esoteric and unconventional style, Jo has also contributed to the acclaimed R&S records, HÖGA NORD, Multi Culti, Me Me Me, Jeudi and various other labels with remixes and further originals. He also founded the independent label 'Sulk Magic’, creating a focal point for left-field artists such as Sigward, KGBK, Obb Globelyn, Stove, John Parsley and with plans to curate a whole host of oddities from around the globe. As a DJ, he has honed his skills both at his own party, Body Talk, in the North East of England, as well as a resident at Man Powers former 'Tourist Parties', which have afforded him the opportunity to play alongside such luminaries as Todd Terje, John Talabot, Daniel Avery and Ivan Smagghe. This evidently gave him the steady platform to feature on bills of some of the most prestigious clubs and festivals in Europe such as Renate, Garage, Oval Space, Gottwood and the ever flourishing Alfresco, a festival in which Jo calls home as a resident. With a busy release schedule, and an ever growing touring schedule, this year looks set to see him cement his standing as one of the most promising musical newcomers in recent years.
