- .handmade berlin techno ____ www.blcklts.com ____A Berliner, born and bred under strobe light, Black Lotus grows in perfect soil to become a high-profile multimedia artist. With a diverse background of science, design & art direction she’s been working as a young creative in places like Shanghai, Mumbai and Singapore. Returning to source in 2016, she embarks on her musical journey, where her versatility and skill for the contemporary arts are being revealed once again. In her Berlin studio she hones her craft of signal processing, composing and mixing. Owning an extraordinary record collection, she’s well known to be an eccentric selector and trendsetter. Her DJ sets, a puristic mesh of atmosphere and rhythm, span from classic to modern Techno and beyond. Running two record labels — a vinyl-only Techno division named “LVMINAL” & a complementary sub-label — besides headlining stages all around the world seem to be the perfect equilibrium. Lauded for her unique studio productions, meticulously layered sound journeys and relentless energy on stage, one can expect an experience like no other. Conceptually encrypted complexity at its best. Her experimental sub-label “27” remains a platform for emerging underground artists from all around the world to unleash their potential in a free and rebellious manner: anti-conformity, anti-limits, pure expression. 2022 saw her collaborating with some of the most exciting artists in the industry, releasing a 12-incher with Temudo (Portugal/HAYES) and Dustin Zahn (U.S.A/ENEMY) on LVMINAL, remixing high-profile artist Monolake (Germany) and Tacit Group (Korea) in more sophisticated genres, and returning to Illegal Alien Records (Mexico) & FLASH Recordings. This year will mark returns to South America & Asia and her U.S. debut, but also promise a busy release schedule spanning from in-house collaborations with Jeroen Search & more, to EPs & remixes on external outlets.
