- Blastromen is a dark and futuristic electronic music producing duo from Finland by Mika Rosenberg and Sami Koskivaara . They mix oldschool and modern electronic sounds together saluting the past and greeting the future.Blastromen's musical themes drifts between science facts and fictions where complex and accurate modern production methods, catchy melodies and vocoder singing makes their music catchy and unique. The history of Blastromen goes all the way back to the year 2003 when the duo decided to change their current musical style to more electro influenced direction. The futuristic name "Blastromen" was then formed. Soon, in year 2004 the first 12" EP vinyl 'Robot Aggression' was released on a finnish record label X0X Records. The release got an excellent welcome in its genre and it was played also in foreign clubs. Due to its low pressing amount it has become a sort of collector's item over the years. From this first release Blastromen has been a popular name in electro genre worldwide. During the next years duo concentrated on producing more music, which was compiled into Tron influenced 4-tracker vinyl EP 'Blasteroids'. It was released on a same record label X0X Records in 2008. Stylistically this release followed the same path as the previous record and its welcome in the audience grew Blastromen's popularity also internationally. Indication for this was Dave Clarke playing the record in his radio show. At the time legendary Street Sounds Records was relaunched by Morgan Khan. Blastromen was invited to participate with a track 'Blasteroids' on their new compilation 'Nu Electro vol. 1'. The compilation got a warm welcome and got a successor titled 'Nu Electro vol. 2' which also included a track 'Battlenet' from Blastromen. Besides the new release Blastromen started performing live and since then they have played live in Finland, Germany, Spain and Russia. Their live show has developed over the years into a unique show including light jackets that are programmed to follow the music. After 'Blasteroids' EP the duo started planning the first album release. They started to compose new songs and reproduce older unreleased songs. Their debut album 'Human Beyond' was released in 2010 on a german record label Dominance Electricity. According to many people this album is one of the classic records of modern electro. The album holds grandiloquent music with epic themes and rich melodies. In the next years Blastromen established their own Nucleaire Sound studio where the production continued. An idea of creating a new record came about immediately after the previous release and they started to compile a new EP. In the end of 2012 there was so much material that instead of an EP they decided to release another album, titled 'Reality Opens'. The release date of the new album is in February 2014. The year 2014 is Blastromen's 10-year anniversary. In year they release their highly anticipated second album 'Reality Opens' and return back to the live stage after intensive studio session.
