- All about the .wavsHailing from East Vancouver, Boha has been simmering in the Canadian underground electronic scene for some time. Before formally studying jazz, he began learning production through a cousin in Brazil. There he was introduced to Baile Funk and several of its MCs and DJs, a formative experience that shaped both his philosophical outlook and musical trajectory. Some time after, Boha was a founding member of Chapel Sound in Vancouver. A collective of producers, DJs and artists, CS has grown into a major force in Vancouver music, art and events. Since moving to Montréal to study electroacoustics in 2013, his musicality and sound have continued to twist and unfurl. The 2017 release Burning Up features the emotive voices of Odile Myrtil and Mind Bath atop both techno and deep house production approaches. It received support from Resident Advisor, Mixmag, and charted on college radio. Dots with Janette King is a soulful deep house mover out as a dj single, with flips from THe LYONZ, Noo Bap and PARA.
