- As a rhythmic renovator of retro funk, Boogietraxx offers a lens into the discoverse that brought dance music to the masses but offers a uniquely soulful and modern twist.Born in Staten Island, NY and now living in Austin, TX for the last few years, Boogietraxx, is helmed by producer/DJ Brandon Keeks who’s also ½ of Hot Fun. And he brings an array of influences in his soundscapes that feature filter house, French touch, and filter funk. Brought up on a nutritious diet of Prince, Kashif, George Benson, Daft Punk, DJ Falcon, Romanthony, and countless others, Boogietraxx’s sound is rooted in the future with accentuated basslines and laser-guided melodies. With releases on labels such as Tensnake’s True Romance, Yamwho’s Midnight Riot, DJ Dan’s InStereo Recordings, and TheBasement Discos, Boogie’s shows no signs of stopping the output anytime soon. Boogietraxx has received support from brands such as Nike, Topman, and Spotify, as well as DJs such as Michael Gray, Todd Edwards, Dave-1 of Chromeo, Green Velvet, AmyElle, Mark Knight, David Penn, and so much more.
