Biografía

  • his story isn't a commercially driven one about a young artist who experimented with musical instruments from an early age. It's also not about a young raver who spent his summer holidays on Ibiza. it's an emerging legacy of the history of art.
His nursery transformed into a stage, young Boran used any suitable utensils he could find in his parents’ home to compose music in front of an imaginary audience. While his friends were building castles in the sandbox, he performed as a one-man- show for his family. His father recognised his tireless efforts early, and gave him a toy keyboard which would form the cornerstone of his musical education. Even then it was apparent that the art of music would be Boran’s drive and destination. The young lover of sound summoned inspiration out of his own imagination, whose finesse, varieties and contrasts would help him become a unique artist. After years of happiness and success, as well as desperation and habit, Boran found in techno a world which provided enough space for his artistic diversity: to “move the masses”. There was to be a new chapter of his life, written in the undertones of techno music. His love of the extraordinary world of bass formed new ideas, and so the young DJ sounded the first notes of a different kind. However, Boran wouldn’t be Boran if he had been content with the nowadays simple combination of techno beats. His musical education at the City of Basel Music Academy played into his hands, and the idea of writing history was born. Thanks to Boran, the mix of acoustic music had never been so close to electronic sound. Listening to Boran’s sounds is like finding the soothing feeling of classical symphonies reflected in techno beats. It’s magic. And it is this diversity that lends his sound its unique character. His music is alive and independent from any known patterns. It is new, fresh, and ushers the listener into a new dimension of musical elements. Pure sounds which are more melodious, more euphonic, and creatively innovative. With a touch of the acoustic and, in the end, essentially fit for clubbing. The rooms in which these magical compositions were created, aren’t known worldwide for nothing. In the renowned Greenwood Studios in Switzerland, global stars like Tina Turner and Phil Collins recorded their masterpieces. This atmosphere can still be felt in the studios, as they bring to mind the hard work and precision which produced those works. Boran will also leave traces like this behind when he chases his juicy bass though the analogue vintage compressors. His music is so much more than just a series of sounds. Techno, says Boran, is the medium to achieve peace on earth, and his art is promoting this culture of peace.Several times he was able to share his art in the furthest corners of the world’s metropolis like Amsterdam, Berlin, Istanbul and Miami, finding inspiration in the sometimes hard and conservative underground world of techno. Because techno is exactly that: a rough diamond of music in dark rooms, which Boran has seized for himself. Even though today’s techno innovators are being celebrated like popstars, it’s the underground musician and inventors of new sounds who find their passion in this art. The ones who drive this music forwards, for the listener, the connoisseur, and whose new creations stir the techno fans’ hearts. And this is exactly what drives Boran: according to the motto, “You can either swim, sink, or be the captain”, he carries the masses away. And they follow his sound.
