- Ignoring fads and trends, Buba’s approach to electronic music is based on a deep understanding of what has come before him.Buba is a music enthusiast addicted to vinyl. Born in central Italy in the mid-eighties, he started exploring underground electronic music territories attending illegal raves. Molded by massive sound system composed of walls of speakers, his vision of Techno is based on the physical power of music. By the late 1990s he was discovering Drum&Bass, Techno, Acid and House music while starting to collect the first records. As with most DJs, Buba got his initial exposure performing at a variety of local venues. Influenced initially by the tough UK garage rhythms, he soon widened his palette with the pioneers of Detroit and Chicago also informing his style. He moved to Berlin in 2010. Since then he has quickly developed as a DJ, since playing at many of the most important club around the city and starting to organize his own nights. Ignoring fads and trends, Buba’s approach to electronic music is based on a deep understanding of what has come before him. This led to his involvement into the Berlin music scene where he become part of the collective INDEF Series. Together with his brotherly friend Pasquale Marone he create several parties like TisB, Rooted, Resonanz, collaborating with many clubs, label, artist and organizations. Buba’s standards are representative of the pre-social media craze and arguably the old adage of letting music speak for itself. Developing slowly, moving further and deeper, not searching for fame or hype, he just continues to look for those special transcendental moments that can be created through electronic music.
