Space Ibiza resident DJ and Ibiza icon // DEEJAYMAG WINNER AWARD AS BEST IBIZA RESIDENT 2010 Space Ibiza // Best Colombian resident DJ abroad by the Colombian Dance Awards 2013 -2016 // House Music
Anyone who has heard of Camilo Franco knows he is an exemplary hard-working DJ. Week in, week out, Camilo is constantly on the move, attending his residency at Space Ibiza during the club season and deejaying at other clubs and festivals all along the year. There has to be a reason for which Camilo is so sought out by clubs from all around of the globe, ranging from Asia to America and all regions in between, and that is because of his charisma in the booth. His unique style triggered an unstoppable dance floor frenzy in every single venue he has played. Proof of this is Camilo’s constant inclusion in major festivals’ line-ups, such as the Ultra Music Festival two years in a row.
Born in Colombia but living in Spain since he was a kid, Camilo Franco started his career as a DJ at the fresh age of 15 and he was soon spinning in clubs all over the country and beyond our borders. Over the years he has amassed quite a collection of awards and prestige: not is he only a resident DJ at Space Ibiza, but one of the most international artists based in Spain. He has been nominated as the best national DJ by the Spanish Vicious Magazine many times, he was awarded by Deejaymag as the Best Ibiza Resident in 2010 and he was recently bestowed the title of best Colombian resident DJ abroad by the Colombian Dance Awards. A nice track record which will doutblessly keep growing.
Also known for his collaborations and his work as a producer with artists of the likes of David Penn or René Amesz, Camilo Franco has released on many different labels such as Toolroom Records, Hotfingers, Nervous Records or Urbana Recordings. Remixing is another field that holds no boundaries for this artist: he has worked with world-known producers like Chus & Ceballos, Lorenzo Aldino and René Amesz himself, among many others. His House and Tech House productions have achieved a great success: proof of that is the popularity of his track ‘I Got’, which reached the Top-100 in the Beatport general list. Camilo Franco continues his hard work in the studio - so keep an eye out for his upcoming releases and collaborations!
