- Camilo Giraldo (Quito, Ec) [Dstorsion]Camilo Giraldo is born in January the 4th of 1993 in Quito, Ecuador. Since childhood he showed big interest in music, especially in percussive sounds, being very influenced by latin music and particularly by Reggae. He always had a serious affinity and passion for computers, technology and the Internet. At the age of fourteen, his brother Juan introduced him to the electronic music, causing an incredible impact in his life. This genre blew his mind and thereby he discovered that the computer could be his musical instrument. From that moment his life turned into Electronic Music. He started to produce his own sounds even very basic, but have begun to create his own music, not only mix it since the beginning, lead him to a fast development and to a fast understanding of Electronic music’s concepts. His most important influences are: Marco Carola; Barem; Richie Hawtin; M_nus. At the present time he has been producing Electronic Music during 4 years. He has signed his music with several important labels around the globe as: Neurotraxx (Italia); Bosphorus Underground Recordings (Turquia); CrashTune Recordings (Francia); Etc. Getting some top sales in Beatport and other digital stores like Nowtrax.com. All this in MInimal and Techno in which he was centered until 2011. This year he met Diego Celi, Sebastián Torres, Mateo Salazar y Sylas. Ecuadorian artists in which he identified himself. With them he fully focused in developping a Project of creating a new record label with a unique identity without following any global trend.This Project is called DSTORSION It will be launched in 2012. Here Camilo Giraldo will present his brand new EP, Evolución Eterna ( Eternal Evolution), in which he expresses the inner world and evolution of his being and mind with a brand new distorted music.
