- "Prea Latin pentru Berlin"Capablanca is a charismatic and eclectic DJ, producer and label owner who has been steadily building a reputation for making his dilettante and playful approach a style of his own for more than a decade from his Berlin home base. His DJ sets and studio work reflect this creative energy, melting far out genres and styles together to create a raw and organic whole that bends both body and mind. His sound can be easily recognised in his own solo productions, remixes and collaborations for labels like Hivern Discs (as C.P.I. with Marc Piñol) or Cómeme. Hugo’s taste is also reflected on his own label, Discos Capablanca, home to a wide array of underground international artists like Mutant Beat Dance, Willie Burns, 33.10.3402, Odopt, Lipelis, Ron Morelli, Sharif Laffrey with releases spreading over the last 10 years. In 2017 Capablanca self released the first instalment in his ongoing Lap Top Less Dance trilogy, a DIY experiment in non linear dance music, fusing disco/industrial/noise references and all sorts of psychedelic possibilities.
