  • Capitol K is the name under which Kristian Craig Robinson works as a musician combining electronica, found sounds and indie-pop. Born in Malta and raised in Dubai, Brunei and England, and now based in London, Capitol K is best known for the single Pill..
    Kristian Craig Robinson aka 'Capitol K' first emerged a decade ago at the forefront of the burgeoning electronic scene, releasing two groundbreaking electronic albums on Planet Mu, “Sounds Of The Empire” (1999) and “Island Row” (2000). His experiments with Lo-if Guitar Noise, Collarge & found sound merged with strong Melodies and Falsetto Vocals lead to to the pioneering what the critics later called "Folktronica". Based in London, Born In Malta raised in Brunei (S.E Asia) Sonic Tourism and collaboration has been a constant feature of Capitol K's Music. In recent years he's toured the world playing synths for Archie Bronson Outfit (Domino); & with Brazilian Tropicalist Cibelle (Crammed Discs ), established Studio Plateaux, a boutique studio from which he's produced sessions for acts such as Atlas Sound, Vivian Girls & Ariel Pink among others & set up his own label Faith & Industry, notably releasing Patrick Wolf's debut album. On return from time spent in South America Capitol K has been excited by new Digital Cumbia and Cumbia Sonidero movements coming in particular from Argentina and Mexico and is currently making productions and performances inspired by this infectious rhythm.
