- Groovy rolling basslines, minimal, acid and elements of 90's house can all be heard in Cassette's sets and productions. Not one to be pigeon holed or limited by others perceptions, Cassette draws influence from many different genres.Early attendance at raves listening to Breaks, Garage, Drum n Bass and House, combined with her younger years growing up on soul, blues and eventually hip hop have all shaped her into the dynamic house queen she is today. Whether it be deep minimal or jackin' chicago style house there is a certain groove in all her musical choices that sets her sound apart from the masses. Cassette got soul! This combined with her infectious personality and creative sets continue to cement her reputation as a deserving local favourite. Hailing from Sydney, Australia, Cassette has toured Australia nationally, performing shows across the country and gaining strong support from renowned Auzzie collectives Subsonic, Spice, Blueprint, S.A.S.H. , Days Like This, Return to Rio and Division Agency. Internationally, her mixes have been featured on radio stations, websites and blogs around the world resulting in club and festival gigs in Europe, USA, Africa, Mexico, the UAE and Asia. Cassette has already shared the bill with many of her musical heroes including Apollonia, Archie Hamilton, Ame, Alex Kid and Dana Ruh. Now venturing deeper into the world of production Cassette has been studying electronic music production full time at TAFE music in Sydney. With her her first EP in the pipeline I'd advise you to stay tuned because Cassette is worth the hype!
