- Melbourne DJ/Producer Zac Barrett started his alias Cazbar in 2020, a moniker that has since released numerous tracks designed for the dancefloor of a dusty rave.Music that delivers a powerful yet sophisticated sound that is truly unique amongst the wider Melbourne Techno scene Drawing influence from the likes of Maceo Plex, Adana Twins and Luke Alessi, his music is very melodically driven, however Cazbar also explores elements of Electronica and the darker sides of underground Techno. Cazbar’s debut release ‘Revenance’ in late 2020 perfectly set the tone for the project’s sonic direction. His follow up track ‘Addiction’ is more euphoric, pushed forward by hypnotic, uplifting melodies. Cazbar also has releases on acclaimed independent labels UNIVACK Records and UGENIUS Music, with Abudae (UGENIUS) climbing to 9th spot of the Beatport Progressive house charts. Cazbar’s continuous mixing style combines elements of both energetic and experimental techno. He has performed at some of Melbourne most prestigious venues, however his sound is most at home deep into the Victorian Bush.
