Charlie Chalke jumped on the house scene around 2008, but Charlie's passion for music started from a very young age. he started DJing around the age of 13, but being too young to realise he could ever pursue a career in this industry he just played music as a pastime doing local parties for friends, mixing old school garage and drum and bass. Charlie’s influences from these genres include names such as Roni Size, Mampy Swift and Zinc to EZ and Heartless Crew. Influences from earlier days range from legends like Stevie Wonder, The Drifters, Bob Marley and UB40. Charlies influences today from the house scene involve too many to list but would like to mention Format B, Pleasurekraft and Mark Knight. Moving to the present Charlie has been moving around various parts of the world and has experienced clubs and bars such as Ibiza Rocks and Bar M (Ibiza), Herbal (Shoredich) House and Terrace (Greenwich) various beach parties in Thailand around Ko Pang Yan and Ko Sumai. Charlie has just now started his own production career with his debut release "ALL ABOARD" signed with "AVENUE RECORDINGS" which can be found on Beatport. Charlie is now working with many different artists with many tracks in the making and is looking to put his own unique touch on the house scene of today and wants to become a huge success and influence in the up and coming future. Charlie would like to finally say thanks to those who have supported him throughout his musical evolvement and his life. They know who they are..... Press release - "JOE BOI" is only Charlie Chalke's second track since he has become a releasable and interesting artist, and in this case the track "JOE BOI" is just part of finding and developing his own style that he is striving to establish in future productions. Charlie would hope this track speaks for itself, but feels the only story behind the track is in the name. Joey was a dear friend who was tragically was killed in a car accident in 2004. RIP Joe Boi. Since his release from Joe Boi, Charlie produced more and more tracks, firstly Pink and Fluffy, then Que Pasa, Another Day and True Life 2412. Pink and Fluffy ended up getting released after the Que Pasa EP although it was produced some time beforehand and was released on Rabbit hole recordings. When Charlie made Que Pasa, he really felt he found his style following the sound and working in the same key as favourite producers Format B, Sebastien Leger and many more. Bearing that in mind, Charlie made a follow up track to Que Pasa, Another Day. Que Pasa and Another Day have got released on an EP with Whartone records and he is getting a lot of support from many DJ’s and producers. Following this, although Charlie is ready to jump all over this new found style, he decided that before doing any more tracks like this, he wished to re-do a more commercial track which he was working on a long time before he was getting releases “True Life 2412” featuring Trudie Green which Charlie has high hopes for. Charlie’s plans are to now start making more and more tracks taking booking and doing live events. Charlie’s tracks all have meaning to him one way or another and Charlies life reads into much depth. As time goes by, hopefully, he can share his story. “Time will tell”
