- music producer & DJ from Berlin. Be Water, My Friend!CHI THANH is a German-Asian music producer & DJ based in Berlin. He was born in South Germany and started releasing music as CHI THANH (“CHI“ means “energy“ and THANH “pure sound“) in 2013. Chi Thanh is a multi-instrumentalist (piano, guitar, bass, drums, vocals) and studio wizard and has enjoyed a very musical and international upbringing. His homebase Berlin has also been a great influence in his career, since he found lots of like-minded people there and also was able to find his “creative voice“ by trying out different collaborations and styles. Most notably, Chi Thanh made it into the Top10 of the “bestselling artists“ in 2014 in the Beatport category “Deep House“ with a string of releases such as his EPs: “LET'S PLAY“, “STONE“ and “RAIN“. CHI THANH wrote, played, performed, produced, programmed and mixed everything himself on all his releases. The sound can best be described as: “Organic, acoustic real instruments, guitars and psychedelic 60s vibes meet Berlin Deep Tech House club beats“. He also released a Tech-House single “Crickets & Bats“ with fellow Berliner Florian Kruse (Noir Music) in 2015 with remixes by: Daniel Dexter (Pokerflat) & Kevin Over (Noir Music) He has recently remixed artists such as: Lana Del Rey, Metronomy, Booka Shade, The Dø… Chi Thanh has been friends with the electronic music pioneers Booka Shade for a while and contributed guitars to their album EVE in 2013 and also remixed a few of their singles. He is very excited to be able to release his new music through their newly founded label: Blaufield Music in 2015. CHI THANH's mission is to create “Magic Moments“ for worldwide audiences and to perform his dynamic DJ/Live-Set show.
