- Techno wunderkind Christopher Brooks is pioneering the latest wave of local electronic artists breaking the mould.Producer/DJ Christopher Brooks is signed to Australian labels, Open Records, Buxton Records and Moon by Day. His interest and love of sound led him to a Bachelor of Music Technology degree at the Queensland Conservatorium of Music, where he developed advanced skills in sound engineering, sound production and music composition. In addition to producing his own music Christopher also runs a freelance sound engineering and mixing business. His live sets explore the realms of down-tempo and cinematic electronica; as a DJ, Christopher is versatile and open to a wide range of influences. His DJ sets blend the grounds of deep, minimal and progressive house and techno, always responding to the environment and moment. His latest track, “Night Hawk”, coming soon on Open Records’ Expansion Pack II, is a summation of his sound. Christopher’s first EP ‘Sweet Madness’ received support from some of the world’s top producers, including Hernan Cattaneo. He's played support DJ for Hernan Cattaneo, Henry Saiz, Robert Babicz, Guy J, Charlie May, Danny Howells, Marc Marzenit, Max Cooper and Claude VonStroke, just to name a few.
