- Cian is best known for his curation of cult radio show An Taobh Tuathail on RTE RnaG. He's been DJ-ing since the 90s, at clubs & festivals. He is regarded as one of the leading DJs in Ireland for specialist events and alternative weddings.Cian has been DJ-ing since the early ’90s, where he first cut his teeth spinning tunes at school & youth club discos around his native Dingle in Co. Kerry. He held various indie disco club residencies in Salthill, Galway during his college years, before kickstarting the club where he made a name for himself - 110th Street in Galway in 1998. He was also involved with DJ-ing at and promoting the infamous Boogaloo warehouse-style parties in the Black Box, Galway in the 00’s. He has DJ-ed at most of the Irish music festivals: Another Love Story, Body & Soul, All Together Now, Other Voices, Electric Picnic and many more. Post-restrictions, he has also been hosting parties under the ‘Disco Dána’ banner in intimate venues around the country. Cian has been presenting much lauded radio show An Taobh Tuathail (The Other Side) on RTE RnaG since 1999. The show airs five nights each week, from Monday to Friday. Singer Gruff Rhys of Super Furry Animals called Cian’s programme “one of the most radical radio shows in the world”. In her column in 'The Observer' Miranda Sawyer wrote "ATT is an aural feast… gorgeous to listen to...an absolute treasure trove", The Irish Independent has described it as “one of the finest music shows ever produced, on any station”, while ‘Dance Your Way Home’ author Emma Warren has compared the programme to Andrew Weatherall’s NTS shows. UK music site The Quietus wrote: “It’s an obvious and lazy comparison to call presenter Cian Ó Cíobháin the Irish John Peel, but his laid-back manner, combined with the eclectic and astonishing mix of sounds played on the programme, make him more worthy of the mantle than any other DJ I’m aware of in Britain or elsewhere today.” Over the past decade, Cian has brought his decades of experience of DJing for different crowds to the wedding world. He has established himself as a specialist wedding DJ for discerning music lovers seeking an alternative wedding or festival-style wedding.
