Biografía

  • Always intelligent, effortlessly intricate, and highly emotive Obscure Chicago Resident
Cinna's musical journey ignited as an early adolescent immediately after moving to Chicago from Mexico. He recorded mixes from B96's Mixmaster Throwdown onto tapes and later tried to mix them together. As a teenager, he began amassing a collection of dance music records and CDs. By 17, he graced the decks of the iconic Mission (Medusa's Elgin) and other suburban teen club hotspots. Three years later, Cinna secured his first club residency at U!N! and later ventured into downtown Chicago, wearing multiple hats as a DJ, marketer, and event production assistant. Along the way, he forged partnerships with renowned local brands such as Vision, Spybar, Vested, and Paradigm. These experiences shaped his musical identity and helped him master the art of brand management, epitomized by the cutting-edge techno and house-leaning party brand he co-founded in 2016, Obscure. In 2013, Cinna's persona emerged, heavily influenced by the soul of 90s house & techno. His mission: to blend this vision seamlessly with the contemporary dancefloor soundscape. Cinna's sets embody the dynamic dancefloor-artist synergy, guided by his motto: "always intelligent, effortlessly intricate, and highly emotive." Welcome to the present musical world of Cinna, where one foot is rooted in the past, and the other is firmly in the future.
