- DJ/Producer based in Glasgow, UK. Owner of techno label Wirelab RecordsI own and run wireLab records and I first tried to produce techno a long time ago which came out of my love of Djing on the glorious Technics SL1200s. I filled a bedroom with a heap of analog boxes. But even with this kit over 4 years I just managed to produce an ever growing number of 16 bar loops. Loops I never finished. Fast forward to 2013 – now a family man but still with burning desire to write and produce great techno. I had a chance meeting with Mike Monday. His teachings changed the game forever. Now armed with extreme focus, free from distraction and the ability to write and finish masses of quality music in short spaces of time and even limited by next to no equipment (its all in the box these days), finally the music I always knew was inside me has started pumping. With the birth of wireLab records in August 2014, came one of the proudest moments of my life (second only to getting married and the birth of my kids) when my first EP was unleashed on the world. The Limit Break EP is 2 techno cuts which had been locked away for a long time, the obsession of the minor dub techno chord had finally been realised. Listening to both tracks you can hear all the influences, from the techno upbringing of Glasgow’s finest Slam and there regular Fridays at the Arches to the deep swirling sounds of Basic Channel. Now with 6 releases the label is hitting it’s stride with support from major hitters like John Selway (on his Tronic podcast). 2015 sees will be an exciting year as more artist come into the lab!̸WRLB002 Cross Wire EP WRLB006 Experiments EP
