- Claudio was four years old when he used to play with drums and listen movies’ soundtracks. At that time anyone couldn’t guess his future like a crazy mind in the underground dance music scene. At that time anyone couldn’t guess his future like a crazy mind in the underground dance music scene. Claudio’s interest in electronic music started in the early 90s with Kraftwerk, Manuel Gottsching, Klaus Schulze and Jean Michel Jarre and quickly he also came across Chicago house and Detroit techno tracks. After consistently consuming of vinyl records of his early heroes, Claudio began to explore the arising house and techno scene around Naples, where he was born. The clubbing scene was very active and Claudio was receptive to developments of his homeland, looking among the most underground environments. Searching the missing link between techno/house and electronic/dub sounds, Claudio developed his career as a forward thinking producer. Claudio has an unique kind of sound: there is something like classic atmospheres expressed into new spine-tingle grooves, a deep-kosmic-solid journey or more simply just the trip of his life story. Claudio Mate got the respect of such names like the Godfather of Techno music Juan Atkins (for him Claudio remixed “Game One” previously licensed on the legendary Metroplex), Orlando Voorn, Francois K, Derrick May, Manuel Gottsching. The Techno Swedish heads like Adam Beyer, Samuel L Session, Joel Mull always supported him since the first projects. The dance music legend Jerome Sydenham has given his approval to remix Claudio’s “8th dimension” track on Lilith Rec on 2009.Also Berghain djs like Len Faki , Marcel Dettmann , Marcel Flenger , supported mate's music.
