Clement Meyer is a musican/producer and essential figure of Paris’s underground scene. Building a solid reputation of tastemaker and his insatiable appetite for mutant grooves, the man behind Get The Curse imprint has shaped a distinctive sound of left-field techno and sonic textures which has certainly not gone unnoticed by top industry players, the press and last but not least, clubbers around the globe. In 2010, Clement established the Get The Curse collective as an outlet to release emerging and talented producers from the local scene (Tomas More, Low Jack, Crackboy, Le Loup, Darabi, to name a few) sharing the same taste for experimentation but dancy low-tech beats. It quickly became a touchstone of alternative club music and Clement wasted no time in taking the reins of a residency at Paris’ famed Rex Club. With the same focus on raw and post-synth occultism, the residency provides Parisian nightlife with a much needed kick in the ass. In its review of his critically acclaimed “Unconditional Unknown” released in 2011, Resident Advisor said about him; “it's hard to know which is more useful to a producer of dance music—control or grace—but a sufficient store of both can make for a formidable combination indeed. It's rare too, if you think about it—especially to the degree exhibited by the Frenchman”. No wonder Clement Meyer quickly gained favors of a wide range of artists. As a producer, his music and remixes on Items & Things, Tigersushi, Turbo, Throne of Blood, Correspondant, for Roman Flugel , Alixander III, Photonz, Tristesse Contemporaine or Gesaffelstein are further testament of an ever improving sound. Performance-wise, Clément plays for demanding dancefloors accross the world, with memorable gigs at Panorama Bar (Berlin), Fabric, Corsica Studios (London), Robert Johnson (Frankfurt), Arma 17 (Moscow), Trouw (Amsterdam), Mondo (Madrid) and Fuse (Bruxelles). Brilliantly spear-heading the French scene's renewal, he was named "Best emerging talent of the French electronic scene” by magazine A NOUS PARIS". His upcoming EP, the well named “Modern Primitivism”, is expected in september 2013 and will mark a shift in his own ever-expanding consciousness, as well as another exciting chapter of his musical career.
