Cricky Lyttle was born in Belfast, Northern Ireland. His interest for the dance scene took off in the mid 90s in an era when the dance scene was thriving in Northern Ireland. While too young to go clubbing Cricky was listening to tapes of various local DJs and after a few years he himself began to wonder onto the clubbing circuit and frequented local clubs such as The MetArena, Shine and Lush! This inspired Cricky to give it a shot himself and over a short period of time, as Cricky gained experience and started playing at local clubs for various promoters. At first he was listening to trance, house etc but it wasn't until he discovered techno when he found the sound he knew was right for him! You can see Cricky playing everything from minimal through to nose bleed hard techno (on the odd occasion) but mainly good upbeat 128-130bpm minimal/techno. The Keymix DJ Master class supported by Radio 1’s DJ Fergie played a key role in Cricky's early development, securing him his first Amber Room gig in Club Matrix where he played house quite regularly until the clubs untimely closure. He has played gigs all over Northern Ireland for promoters such as Planet Love Music, Kalieda, The U-Bahng, Keymix, Freshclubbing, TheClubbingForum, Meltdown, DanceCircuit, Lost, Concept, Inovate and Nation in venues including Lush! (Portrush), Mynt, The Elephant Room, Bar Budda, Biddy Duffy's, The Warehouse & The Front Page (Belfast), The Coach* (Banbridge), Club Matrix (Dungannon), Club Ink (Ballymena), Melt (Lurgan), Molly Sweenys (Omagh), The Red Rooms, Earth, The Nerve Centre & Bar Zu (Derry), The Windsor & Bar 15 (Bangor) and NI’s own Planet Love Festival along with countless other nights scattered around the country! He has also played in Ibiza in Eden, Kanya, Eden Bay and the Orange Corner 2008 seen Cricky start promoting his own night, Cave; which was at first in Bar Budda, but now runs monthly in The Warehouse and the odd night in The Front Page. These nights have went from strength to strength and have seen Cricky play alongside guests such as Dan Ghenacia, Cave, Marco Bailey, Sven Wittekind, James Ruskin, Mark EG, Len Faki, Pet Duo, Chymera. 2009 has been great with some excellent nights so far. As well as playing at his own Cave nights he's managed to play alongside Clive Henry in Mynt, play at the Planet Love Festival for a third time and best of all Cricky was asked for warm up for Meganite boss Mauro Picotto in the newly refurbished Lush!
