- d-phrag (aka Ivan Philipov) was born in 1969. Although he has no formal musical education, music always has been an important part of his life. As every teenager of his generation he enjoyed heavy metal and punk rock, later changed to many other music..Later his musical taste has been heavily influenced by the Global Underground series, The Essential Mix on BBC, as well as John Digweed's Kiss 100 radio show. The DJ's that shaped his vision for the modern electronic music - Kleineberg, Sasha, Digweed, Oakenfold, Dave Seaman...to name a few. At some point he decided to try some DJ software to make a mix with only the tracks he likes and that was the moment he fell in love with the DJ mixing. After a year of rather underground mixing, he was invited to do a guest mix as "Artist of the Week" on friskyradio.com - and that event logically led to his own DJ show on the same radio. The show is called Immersed and features new and established talents on the progressive electronic music scene. Currently the show has an average of 3000 listeners from all over the world. The show has been a good start for young and upcoming artists like Lokitas, Silent Brothers, Grigory & Anthony and Denver & Mints from Russia, Audionova from Serbia, Kintar & Rex from Argentina as well as many others (many of them are now residents with their own show on friskyradio). Since 2008 d-phrag co-hosts Immersed with his young colleague Plamen K. They also started collaboration as a DJ duo, playing on various events in Bulgaria. In October 2009 d-phrag has been invited by DJ Balthazar to play on one of the biggest electronic music events in Bulgaria, RENESANZ - featuring many big names in the electronic music. For the past few years d-phrag's DJ style evolved a lot, but one thing remains the same - the passion for music, carefully selected tunes and energetic mixture of sounds
