Biografía

  • 1991 was the year when Daniel was first introduced to proper electronic music: Detroit techno, Bonzaï records, Emmanuel Top, X-Trax records and the Serious Beats compilations inspired him and still influence his sound to this day.
Back in the early 90's he first learned about house and techno going to a local infamous club in Breda (NL) named "The Spock". resident DJ at the time was Tijs Verwest a.k.a. Tiësto who soon invited Daniel to warm up for him on several occasions. A year later Daniel decided it was time to organize his own events. Being a huge fan of the, at the time, more underground sound of early Detroit Techno, these events had quite the underground character. First in Breda and, after moving there, also in Amsterdam he organized numerous events. Eventually he ended up being a resident in the legendary club "Nighttown" in Rotterdam where he had his own club night for 3 years in "the Basement". Teaming up with his colleague from Nighttown, Frame Six a.k.a T!M he started organizing events under the name "For Those Who Know". After successful editions in Studio 80, Club Up and Worm they were invited to host the second room in Factory 010 during the "Electric Deluxe vs Dystopian" event in Feb 2016. In 2017 he started his own label called P-RT-L. After the first EP by his own hand, he is currentyl working on the 2nd and 3rd EP wich will be released in December 2018. The project is called “An Intermediary Plane Of Existence”, referring to the twilight world where music exists purely as 0’s and 1’s or grooves in a PVC disk, waiting to eventually be converted to electric currents, moving speaker parts, compressing and depressing air. Tiny hairs in your ear, connected to nerv-ends which will pick up these soundwaves in order to once again convert the signal into tiny electrical currents followong the path of the nerve into our brains and minds 🖤 2018 was also the hear he teamed up with Mario from CybrX. A Rotterdam based legend who played 100’s of live sets alongside legends like: Curley, David Spaans, David V, Taras van de Voorde and Ricky the Dragon. They form the duo Gucci and Kane, a hard-to-label live act, influenced by Detroit techno, Tekno, Planetary Assault Systems, Mike Parker and 90’s techno.
