- Owner of a very unique Techno repertory and mixing style, Daniel U.M. (Underground Minds) has been at the forefront of the Brazilian electronic scene since the middle of the nineties.Owner of a very unique Techno repertory and mixing style, Daniel U.M. (Underground Minds) has been at the forefront of the Brazilian electronic scene since the middle of the nineties, times when he had the opportunity to discover the World of the underground dancefloors such as Hell's Club at Columbia, A Lôca and Latino. Supported by the some of the pioneers DJs of his scene (Gil Barbara and Luis Pareto included), Daniel learned very early the importance of having a large cultural background and soon created the Underground Minds with some friends (such as Mauricio U.M.) - that's the reason why he never gave up with his constant and deep musical researches. Music, for him, has always been a question of feeling. From House to Techno, he has developed a very close relation with the deep atmospheres, warm chords and melodies. On the other hand, he is capable to balance these dense soundwaves with more minimal, hypnotic ones, creating a personal mark of excellence. With his undeniable talent, he was able to gain the residences of Wicked at A Lôca, where he would play memorable sets on the afterhours of Fridays, mixing tunes from other artists devoted to deep, atmospheric, minimal-hypnotic, techy or housey driven. After some years, he moved and became monthly resident of the famous Technova night at Lov.e Club where he shared a cabin with large national and inspirations Mau Mau and Renato Lopes and international like Heiko Laux, Laurent Garnier, Kevin Saunderson and many others ... as well as having played in the main capitals of Brazil. . Daniel U.M. has always been a synonym for high-quality sets of aesthetic electronica. After all these years, though, he upgraded his DJs skills more than ever, which would let him play his true underground sets wherever he wants, though with a straight connection with the dancefloor. This ability of knowing how to conduct the best repertories according to the public was naturally added to his accurate technique of long mixes, which impresses from the large public to the most intense listeners. The number of memorable nights he played is so huge that he gained a respected team of supporters, from producers to DJs, party organizers and journalists, becoming an example to the newer generations of the electronic scene. A good example of his influences is noticed on the productions of the Future Visions Crew, or in the sets of a large number of deejays in Brazil. All these qualities are enough to grant this Underground Mind the chance to play anywhere in the planet. Even though, Daniel U.M. went further and dedicated a considerable amount of time developing his production skills (his first partnership was the Invisible Hands project alongside Eraldo Palmero of Waterfront). More recently, he settled a special partnership with the talented producer Max Underson under the name of Mentalhighs - a project dedicated for friends with analogue musical perspective, sharing the elements of deep, atmospheric, dense, complex and minimal-hypnotic techno - definitely the essences of Daniel U.M. CompatÃvel com alguns dos DJs pioneiros da sua cena (Mau Mau, Gil Barbara e Luis Pareto), Daniel aprendeu muito cedo a importância de ter um grande fundo cultural e logo ajudou a criar o coletivo "Underground Minds" com alguns amigos (entre eles Mauricio UM) que é o razão pela qual ele nunca desistiu, com sua constante e profunda pesquisa musical, música, para ele, sempre foi uma questão de sentimento. Do House ao Techno, ele desenvolveu uma relação muito estreita com uma atmosfera profunda, acordes e melodias quentes. Por outro lado, ele é capaz de equilibrar essas ondas sonoras densas mais minimalistas e hipnóticas que sejam, criando uma marca pessoal de excelência. Com seu inegável talento, ele foi capaz de ganhar as residências de festas como Wicked na ALoca, onde ele fez sets memoráveis no afterhours das sextas-feiras, misturando músicas de outros artistas dedicados à essa atmosfera techno-minimal-hipnótico, e techouse .Se tornou também residente mensal da noite Technova famosa no Lov.e Club, onde dividiu a cabine com grandes inspirações nacionais como Mau Mau e Renato Lopes e internacionais como Heiko Laux, Laurent Garnier, Kevin Saunderson e muitos outros... além de ter tocado nas principais capitais de todo Brasil. Daniel U.M. sempre foi sinônimo de sets de alta qualidade na música eletrônica, depois de todos estes anos, porém, ele atualizou suas habilidades como DJ deixando-o mais do que nunca, com uma conexão direta com a pista de dança. Esta capacidade de saber conduzir os melhores repertórios de acordo com o público foi, naturalmente, adicionado à sua técnica apurada de mixagens longas, o que impressiona desde o menor público até os ouvintes mais intensos. O número de noites memoráveis que ele tocou é tão grande que ele ganhou uma respeitada turma de adeptos, de produtores à DJs, organizadores de festas e jornalistas, tornando-se um exemplo para as novas gerações da cena eletrônica. Todas estas qualidades são suficientes para conceder a esse Underground Mind a oportunidade de tocar em qualquer lugar do planeta. Daniel U.M. também dedicou um tempo considerável desenvolvendo suas habilidades de produção (sua primeira parceria foi o projeto "Invisible Hands" ao lado de Eraldo Palmero). Mais recentemente, ele se estabeleceu uma parceria especial com o talentoso produtor Max Underson sob o nome de Mentalhighs - um projeto dedicado para os amigos com a perspectiva analógica musical, compartilhando os elementos de deep techno, atmosférica, densa, complexa e minimal-hipnótica, atualmente tem tocado em festas e diferentes projetos como a noite Mothership no club D-edge, Club Vegas e TrackerTower, esta por vez mais intimista... enfim música e qualidade são definitivamente as essências de Daniel UM.̸Department Various - House & Techno (CD, Comp, Mixed)
