- (aka Dro Hz & Kohanim) An artist based in Atlanta, with an unbounded music selection in his production and Dj sets. Founder & Resident DJ @ Collision-ATL, Host @ ProtonRadio.com Past Projects>Co founder of Wiggle Factor, delic, AOE, & PanopticonThe musical journey of Darius Kohanim has been influenced by so many of his different musical projects & collaborations, from over 20 years of performing live. His new "Kohanim" moniker, will solely focus on the refined sounds of Techno & Minimal. Freeing up his original work to be free form, including downtempo, ambient, music for film, breaks, tech house, deep house, & anything else. His first big release was in 2004 “Revealing the Door,” under the alias Panopticon with Habersham & Ben Mcpherson, which hailed support from many of the top Dj’s touring at the time. Soon after, Sasha opened his BBC Radio feature mix with another DK & Habersham collaboration called “Dune in Erf Minor.” The next project Absence of Essence, had DK & Knix at the controls, & long distance help from Ajhenda. The group had releases on Lobotomy Records, and Alterimage Records. They were also featured with their own sample pack release on Loopmasters, which was featured in Computer Music magazine. In 2010 he co-founded the reputable Atlanta based event company Wiggle Factor. He was able to work alongside the talented & influential visual artist Oktaform, from Timewarp, CLR, Droid Behavior. Over the years he performed as part of the duo Delic, with acts like Minilogue, Ben Klock (Klockworks), DVS1 (Hush), Pig&Dan (Elevate), Maetrik (aka Maceo Plex), Tim Xavier (LTD 400), Sian(Octopus Recordings), Drumcell (Droid Behavior), Alexi Delano (H-Production, Minus), Tony Rohr (Drumcode), Truncate (Droid), Elon (Resolute), Mr C (Superfreq), Sub-An (Crosstown Rebels), Clint Stewart (Second State, Mobilee), Deepak Sharma (Hidden Recordings), Taimur Agha (Blkmarket Membership), Daegon/Chad Kaska, and more. In 2014 he branched off from Wiggle Factor to launch Collision, and to complete work more studio work. Collision is on ProtonRadio.com every 2nd Tuesday of the month from 8-9pm est. Guest mixes have been from fresh producers and DJ’s around the world, with many Atlanta artists as well. With the launch of Collision events in April 2016, expect another round of quality music to be shared from the heart!
