- Signed on Kompakt this discrete artist has produced several EPs since 2006 on different labels like Traum, Resopal or AMR. He can produce an amazing range of styles from deep house, dub and chill out, down to stiff and penetrating tech-house and techno.David is an electronic musician born in Switzerland and live in Lausanne. He developped an interest in drums and electronic music as early as age 12* (thanks to my uncle and Depeche Mode & Rolling Stones fan too), then he started to play in many rock bands. In 1998 he went to study the groovebox MC- 505 from ROLAND Machine Manufacturer. In 1999, he’s nominated for playing at the Swiss final of the EUROPEAN MASTERS OF GROOVE with his techno track “ Dark Entrance ” Then he started making live performance and playing machines in 2001 and 2003 of Techno and Trip-hop music set, with bands such as Gust, Chic-Bull or Lunida in many live clubs in Switzerland. In the meantine, he’s continue to produce tracks again and again. In 2006 he signed 2 vinyl EP’s with his solo project DAVIDOVITCH for the well respected techno label KOMPAKT on the Speicher series. Vol. 36 with “Cellophane” & vol. 39 with “Insider” have been released. He’s produce different techno EP’s for other respected labels like RESOPAL in 2011, EINTAKT, VANINA HAHIN in 2012 or TRAUM SCHALLPLATTEN in 2015. ALSO AS A LIVE-ACT… After having several experiences to play live with machines and musicians in great clubs or festivals like MONTREUX JAZZ with Lunida in 2010, DAVIDOVITCH play now with a minimal setup that contains a computer, a synth and a percussion tool. Less is more. He can give an intensity to the sound, feel the beat more stronger and give a unique & deep atmosphere trough his live-acts.
