- Young Dutch artist Detention’s auditory aspiration is the pursuit of a balance between reckless rhythms and wonky noises.Detention’s music brings a dark groove that can, and very likely will, lead to you being overcome with mania and delirium, in a frenzied attempt to keep up with his unique and throbbing sounds. Prepare to feel his electronic onslaught. While only being active since 2014, Detention has come a long way. Releasing regularly at Variance and New York Haunted proves this guy is one to keep an eye on. The constant need to push boundaries typifies Detention. It doesn’t have one specific form, it’s fluid. Restless as he is, he keeps challenging himself and his audience, which is the most fun part of making music after all.
