- D'FunK aka Dub Junk/DA started out playing US House and Garage in bars and clubs on south coast of Spain. D'FunK DJs and produces, Acid tinged Deep House and Techno under his Distorted Acid guise, Dub Techno under his Dub Junk guise and..D'FunK/Dub Junk/DA He started out playing US House and Garage in bars and clubs on south coast of Spain as resident at Deeper at clubs in Benalmadena and was quickly picked up to be resident at Paladium in Torremolinos, a well known club on the south coast of Spain. He then went on to co-run nights called 'juicy' these nights were run in clubs and bars all along the south coast of Spain. In 2000, he moved to a town near Marbella and met up with 'Raveface.Com'. They were a group of guys producing and playing live on the Internet. By now his sound had matured into Deep Tech House he also liked to play the darker side of Break Beat. That year he played as resident for Raveface.com, ElectroSound and Dance Kultur. Then in 2001 he started playing at festivals and clubs in Granada, Almeria and Torre Vieja, he also started his own internet radio show on Raveface and his own nights called 'DeepSensation', he also played at the free parties in and around Granada. In 2005 he decided to take it all to the next level by dedicating a year to studying Music Production at the Point Blank College in London. Whilst in London he kept on DJ'ing, playing in small intimate bars in and around North London, he was also invited to play at the first Rocket Festival in Andalucia, Spain. In 2006 he decided to move to Manchester to study for a 3 year BSc Hons degree in Sound Engineering and Design at the School of Sound Recording, so most of his time was taken up, but he was invited back to play at The Rocket Festival that year and he also played some House and Techno parties in Manchester. 2007 was the year he started producing Techno, House and Breaks and played Ableton Live Sets n FX in and around the UK. 2007 also saw the start of Elektek Recordings, a digital label set up by himself and co-run with Mad-Dog, whilst also landing gigs in and around Marbella and Manchester. 2008 stared of well, he started producing more of a Minimal style, playing Live sets monthly at Method, whilst also put on regular Elektek Live nights with the labels artists and invited guests from around Manchester. That year he continued running Elektek Recordings, Elektek Live party's and towards the end of 2008 he started up Elektek TV LIVE. This is a webcast dedicated to electronic music and since its start has become more and more popular attracting established names in the UKs and European underground electronic music scene. In 2009, D'FunK, having graduated with a 2.1 class Honours Degree in Sound Engineering and Design, toke Elektek TV LIVE on the road to stream LIVE from well established bars and clubs around the UK and Spain. This year the label went from strength to strength, attracting more artists to the roster with a string of new EPs ready to be released this summer. 2011/12 saw D'FunK grow with new label Dubtek for his Dub Techno stuff and Darktek for the darker sound. Signings to Sasha Carassi's Underscore and Capsula, alos signings to Dj Hi-Shock/Advanced Human's Hypnotic label. Also signings to Control Room and Shout Records came out in 2012...2013 saw D'FunK getting signed to Dosed and vinyl for Space Records, both Myles Sergé's labels. Today you can find original tracks from D'FunK on Mark Ambrose's, Myles Serge's, Rennie Foster's and FBK's labels - big things coming for D'FunK?? For sure there is....You can expect a solo artist LP coming real soon on Mighty Force...
