- The Digis became fascinated with electronical music – especially techno – at a young age and soon started djing . After many hypnotic nights in the famous Aufschwung Ost (Stammheim) their first DJ appearance was in 1999. During this time they played in..The Digis became fascinated with electronical music – especially techno – at a young age and soon started djing . After many hypnotic nights in the famous Aufschwung Ost (Stammheim) their first DJ appearance was in 1999. During this time they played in some smaller clubs and private parties in the northwestern of Germany and soon a residency in the Planet-Club followed. At that time their sound was inspired by some of the big names in the techno scenes who were known for playing hard, but groovy techno: Jeff Mills, Dave Clarke, Carl Cox or Ben Sims are only few names. But after some years “only” djing wasn’t enough! Now the Digis followed their own ideas of techno and started to create first songs and gain knowledge while experimenting with new sounds. Also the first first hardware equipment were bought during this time. The beginning of the new millenium marked a new chapter for the Digipulation Project, as they sinced focused their energy and creativity on their own productions. To improve their production skills both musicians started to work in a recording studio. After many studionights they felt it was time to take a step further. Several Live-Acts have been played and the first Live CD was recorded. Some years of learning later and after many productions, the first EP was released 2009 on SMD Records. Playing live, the Digis creates a unique techno sound filled with funky basslines, groovy beats and modern melodic elements. While Djing the both musicians play all sorts of techno, techhouse or minimal. Whatever it takes to make the crowd move.
