Dingle, real name daniel, was born in the city of derry in Northern Ireland on December 1st 1980. From the age of twelve, when he first heard the beats of dance music, he began taking a keen interest. The early nineties irish rave scene, which consisted mostly of hardcore and house music, is what first introduced Dingle to his love of dance. Back then, DJs such as X-ray, Sci, Binman, Carl Cox, Paul P, Colin Bass, Glen Molloy, Gleave D, Jacko and of course not forgetting Sasha were the DJs gracing turntables and dancefloors both locally and internationally. It was at the age of fourteen when Dingle first got his hands on his own set of decks, a pair of Kam belt drives, and although not the greatest set to learn your trade, this didnt phaze him in his determination to succeed. From Kam belt drives, it wasnt long before he upgraded to a set of Technics 1210s the industry standard, and from here the only way was up. By now his music taste had become more specific, and with the sounds of hardcore becoming less popular, his interest swayed towards the european trance sound, in particular labels such as React, Platipus and Hooj. At the same time Sasha was always influencing his choice of music. Now, with the arrival of Fusion, the first superclub in his hometown of Derry, it was then that Dingle hit the clubbing scene hard. Fusion, blasting out sounds such as Trance and progressive house, played host to some of the worlds top DJs, which only went to enhance Dingles love of the dance scene as a whole. Due to mitigating circumstances Fusion niteclub was forced to close, which made Dingle search further afield for his love of the clubscene. Now he was heading fifty odds miles away on a regular basis to satisfy his clubbing needs. Lush in Portrush was the venue and continues to be to this day. Irelands ultimate superclub, attracting the cream of the worlds top jocks, Lush was where Dingle truly discovered the real clubbing experience. Throughout this time, Dingles own mixes had began to draw the attention of local DJs and promoters. By now he had adopted a more housier progressive sound layered with trancey overtones, and it was only a matter of time before he was playing at some of his hometowns top nights. Appearing at nights such as jika jika, Cresentfields, Cubed, Re-Fresh, Inertia, Obtango and Homegrown was by now becoming a regular occurence. Dingles love for dance had now taken him onto broader fields and new horizons, delving into the world of production. With releases and remixes forthcoming on labels such as kickroach, Airport route, Bonzai and Stampgevaar the future bodes well for Dingle.
