After a short time he had some piano gigs in his city region which were very successful. The first contact w..Dirk Hermann was born in June 1985. At the age of 5 years he started playing the piano. Since then music was a very important part of his life. After a short time he had some piano gigs in his city region which were very successful. The first contact with electronic music Dirk had in a local club. He got in love with this music and since this moment he started listening electronic music. Visiting the Nature One Festival or the Mayday intensified his love for this kind of music.The legendary Jeff Mills was the trigger for Dirk to buy his own equipment. Dirk produced some mix-tapes which evoked very positive reactions. Meanwhile Dirk had played in many clubs in Germany, for example the Butan Club in Wuppertal or the Bootshaus Club in Cologne. He played among others with top acts like Format b, Axel Bartsch, Andre Crom and Gayle San. Dirk and his friend Andi Mueller founded in 2010 their own vinyl imprint „Klangkultur Schallplatten“. This label which is based in the Cologne area concentrates primarily on House / Tech-House style music. Andreas and Dirk originally started with a purely digital label with the name KK Digital. As the record has been a significant component in the electronic music scene and still is, it was always their goal from the start to establish a vinyl as well as a digital label. Even if there is a clear trend towards digitalization, the classical original format should still be maintained. It is due to this conviction that the two partners want to produce their first records in 2012. Meanwhile Artists like DJ W!ld, Darius Syrossian, Chris James or Andre Crom have signed up to the label so far.
