Since then he h..The typical Distrakt sound has cracked sound barriers and traveled across from Australia to knock the socks of crowds across Europe and the United States. Simon Worthington, better known as Distrakt, made his debut as a DJ back in 2006. Since then he has been perfecting his own unique brand of dark and sinister electro/techno, not just as a DJ but also as an active producer. Over the years he has released plenty remixes and originals on international labels such as Basserk, Mähtrasher, Crux & Boxon records. He produced tracks together with well known producers such as Shameboy and NT89. He shared the stage with high profile artists like Huoratron, Gtronic, NT89, Felix Cartel, Shinichi Osawa, Zombie Nation and many more. In recent years he has found his home with the Dutch label Basserk, starting with some remixes followed up by 2 solo EP’s Rompa Stompa & Lunatik. In october 2012 he releases his third EP with Basserk: Roxxor. With these releases he has really defined his sound and gained support from many key players in the industry like Erol Alkan, Fake Blood, The Oddword, Shinichi Osawa, Mustard Pimp, Motor, Acidroid, Henzel & Disco Nova, Sound of Stereo and Huoratron.
