Biografía

  • Tour DJ for Yasmin, 3x DMC Champion, multi-award winning DJ. Boss of all things Triangulum.
Since his introduction to the world of DJ-ing in 1999, award-winning DJ Cable has established himself within the UK's competitive club scene, emerging as one of the best DJs it has to offer. Having supported names such as DJ Craze (3X DMC World Champ), Grandmaster Flash, Cash Money, Jaguar Skills, Annie Mac and Tim Westwood; Dubstep royalty such as Caspa, Rusko, Chase & Status, and internationally-renowned artists such as Twista; having also had gue¬st mixes aired on BBC 1Xtra and Kiss FM, coverage from MTV, and rocked shows abroad in Europe, there is no doubt that he is one of the new breed of DJs to “watch out for”, as once quoted in iDJ Magazine. Since entering the realm of DJ competitions in 2003, he has continued to make a reputable name for himself, achieving the title of DMC UK Team Champion 3 consecutive times, placing 3rd in the DMC World Finals in 2009 & 2010 as part of Bionic Stylus. Cable was also the 1st DJ to achieve a Top 3 placing in each of the UK DMC categories in the entire history of the competition. Blurring the boundaries between Hip Hop and bass-heavy club music such as Dubstep, Drum & Bass, Grime and Electronica, his forward-thinking and genre-melting sets off a seri¬ous breath of fresh air within both the Urban and Dance music scenes, alongside his own blends, re-edits, and productions; some of which have been signed to world-famous label AV8 Records - once home to artists such as Fatman Scoop, Crooklyn Clan and DJ LBR - therefore pushing his profile worldwide. Be it corporate gigs for Orange Rockcorps or MTV, hipster parties for Vice Magazine, trendy club nights such as Yasmin’s “Bad Intentions”, Dubstep raves, or even the grimiest of underground warehouse parties in East London, Cable’s much sought-after skills and versatility as a DJ proves he is a cut above the rest; so much so, that True Tiger even recruited him to scratch on what was arguably the Dubstep/Grime anthem of 2010, “Slang Like This”. With recently having been selected as the tour DJ for rising UK star Yasmin, and with a digital label on the horizon (Triangulum), 2011 looks set to be a very promising and exciting year for DJ Cable.
