Having worked for over 16 years as a DJ, Jack is currently one of the hottest names on the Brazilian trance scene, and is recognized as one of the main reasons the style has become so popular all over the country. Jack was nominated as “Best New Producer” at the 2008 DJ Sound Awards, which led to even greater international recognition. His recordings are included on the playlists of such renowned artists as Paul van Dyk, Judge Jules, Andy Moor, Marcel Woods, John O'Callaghan, Flash Brothers, Agnelli & Nelson, Solarstone, Eddie Halliwell, to name a few. He has produced tracks for labels Maelstrom (UK), Five AM (UK), Fraction Records (UK), Backlash (Bonzai) (BE), Discover Dark (UK), Bralli Records (BR), 40º Degrees Records (BR). Remixing is also something Jack has mastered, even having worked with Airbase, one of the icons of trance worldwide. In 2009, record company RC2 Music offered Jack the opportunity to launch of a new venture: Factor 4 Records, one of the first Brazilian labels dedicated to trance and progressive. His position as label manager allowed Jack to release the first compilation series of Brazilian trance tracks - “Energy BR presents Global Concept”, with additional help from Armada records. Jack is the creator and leader of Energy BR, the first and only nucleus of trance and progressive in Brazil, whose purpose is to spread the styles and their variants around the country. All the major players of the Brazilian scene are a part of this team, which is considered the largest nucleus of this style in all of Latin America. Another project headed by Jack is State of Trance, parties which were pioneer in the sense that they took a chance with trance. SOT quickly became the standard for the entire country, and has showcased such artists as Ali Wilson, Johan Gielen, Sean Tyas, Menno de Jong and BT (Brian Transeau). SOT events are held in famous nightclubs like Anzu or Pacha in São Paulo and Club Nox in Recife, where Jack is responsible for the organization and promotion, as well as being the resident DJ. His career began to skyrocket in August of 2000, when Jack was a finalist during the 1st Brazilian Challenge of Electronic Music DJs, Space Jungle – Hypnotic. In 2004, Jack was one of only 12 Brazilian DJs to participate in Found@Thirst, a competition of DJs from all over the globe, promoted by Heineken of Brazil. He is a regular contributor to Beatz Magazine and the website rraurl.com, the largest portal of electronic music in Latin America, where Jack hosts a highly rated podcast, iTrance. From 2004-09, Jack had his own program on Pure DJ, an influential webradio from Holland, and included in his lineup were residents Andy Moor, Cor Fijneman, Ronski Speed, DJ Shah, Pedro del Mar, Leon Bolier and Joop. Recognition of his work led to the invitation in 2007 from Club Lov.e, in São Paulo, to be resident for the Supernova project. Jack began to play all the important events around the country, placing him on the bill with international musicians Armin van Buuren (currently #1 in the world - DJ Mag), Markus Schulz, Aly & Fila, Sean Tyas, Kyau & Albert, Marcel Woods, Ali Wilson, Johan Gielen, George Acosta, Menno de Jong, Ed Real, AJ Gibson, Juan Atkins, Ade Fenton and Portia Surreal. Jack likes his sets to be eclectic and is influenced mainly by progressive and trance, which results in a euphoric combination.
