- DJ Mtn9090 is a DJing and music production project by graphic artist Marcos Augusto Martinelli, a member of the New Generation of DJs in Porto Alegre / Brazil, wich are deeply envolved within the electronic music culture.Marcos Augusto Martinelli was born in the city of Itaqui, on the countryside of Rio Grande do Sul, in July 1995. As a child he moved to the metropolitan area of the capital of Rio Grande do Sul where he lived in the city of Viamão throughout most of his childhood and youth. On his musical narratives DJ Mtn9090 seeks to build a story that transits between some electronic music genres; but the musicality of Detroit is a predominant mark of his sound, in addition to intense and fast crunchy drumworks. In 2015 he became interested in the production of events where he started an intense work for the party 1601; performing more than 20 editions inside and outside the capital city. This experience led him to have a different contact with the production of events and music itself, forcing him to make a choice. As a DJ of the New Generation of Porto Alegre, Marcos began his work in Viamão / RS through the alias DJ Martinelli. In 2016 he showed interest in DJ culture and started to learn about DJing. The first equipment that had contact was a CJD 100-S. Very interested in house music tunes and Detroit sound influences of the 90s, the first artists that made part of his repertoire were GU, KCL, C & M, K Hand, Delano Smith, Anthony Shakir, DJ Minx; The contact with the local community and dedication to the electronic music parties gave him inspirations that even today influence his style. The interest in vinyl came through contact with the Old Guard of the electronic scene, local DJs like Luciano Benites, Deborah Blank, Apoena and Mario Aguirra undoubtedly were part of the formation of their school. Today as resident DJ of Plano Collective and staff member of Arruaça collective works the occupation of the city through the electronic music party in public spaces. Through ZONAᴇxᴘ collective the DJ has the possibility of exploring broken drums of breakbeat, drum n 'bassm juke and footwork as part of an alias that is called 9090, that means a collect call. Since 2016 DJ Mtn9090 has already animated several events, among them are events of the local electronic scene including Disconexo, Cosmic, Coletivo Plano, Arruaça and Base POA; and has already presented himself at the MASTERplano party in Belo Horizonte, Comuna in Rio de Janeiro and Void in São Paulo. In 2018 he became interested in music production, where he began an experimental work in the construction of a database of local producers called X-Ray. In 2020 he presented his first works as a electronic music producer; while exploring digital surfaces and hacking mechanisms to create sounds, his major influences rely in the style of contemporary ritms such as juke and chicago footwork but also in latin artists such as Pianki, Marcelulose, Aylu and Nog4yra; His first EP came out on 2020 by ZONAᴇxᴘ by the name of Colapso Nervoso; it can be translated literally as Nervous Breakdown. Still on 2020 his second authoral EP was released by japanese label 85Acid, by the name of Desvio de Conduta. DJ Mtn9090 has also been present on national compilatons such as Convid-99 from Bicuda Rec., V.Acina Vol. 1 from Gop Tun, Fazedores de Som Vol. 17 and internacional compilations like JBDUBZ Vol. 8 from Los Angeles crew Juke Bounce Werk;̸Colapso Nervoso by ZONAᴇxᴘ Desvio de Conduta by 85酸
