Biografía

  • DJ Ramon Sucesso, from Rio de Janeiro, known as the "King of the Bubble beat", started posting videos on fridays on Youtube, creating a series called "Sexta dos Crias".
Born in Belford Roxo and raised in the Baixada Fluminense (Rio de Janeiro Brazil), known as the "King of the Bubble beat", started posting videos on fridays on Youtube, creating a series called "Sexta dos Crias". In the videos posted with the help of his brother, he distorted Brazilian funk songs on the DJ controller with the screen shaky by the vibration of the bass. The reach of his videos increased heavily and he became known in the brazilian funk scene as DJ Ramon Sucesso. But it was after releasing his first vinyl on the British label Honest Jon's, that his recognition became international. It didn't take long for major music review sites to start praising his work, one of them being Pitchfork, which awarded an expressive score of 7.7 to his album. "Sexta dos Crias" is one of the main projects responsible for exporting Brazilian funk to the world in recent years. And its main conductor, the prodigy Ramon Sucesso, in the words of Pitchfork, is also responsible for "expanding the possibilities of the DJ controller, transforming a musical reproduction device into a generating instrument of its own during your live performances".
