    Formed in 1994, Double99, alongside R.i.P Productions are UK based dj-production teams who, via their label Ice Cream Records, were among the pioneers of UK Garage. Their sound, and early production was instrumental in forming a bedrock on which the acclaimed and groundbreaking scene was based. The team have an extensive knowledge of music, from both a classical and contemporary perspective, studying music, production, editing and mixing, as well djing around the world. They are experts in Protools software and hardware systems, and have an expansive family of musicians and engineers as part of their extended team. The teams under the group umbrella have worked as producers and remixers with a vast number of established artists. Their collaborations and mixes cover the music spectrum including Whiney Houston, Chris Brown, Alicia Keys, Sugababes, Jamelia, PiNK, Amy Winehouse, Shaun Ryder’s Black Grape and even Madness. This bass driven anthem has stood the test of time, and is still a closing / peaktime track across the DJ spectrum for DJs including Pete Tong, EZ, Annie Mac, and Nick Grimshaw… it also reg- ularly features in DJ and TV music show top ten dance records of all time. Ripgroove still features regularly on Radio 1, the Capital Network, Kiss 100, and numerous other radio and internet stations, and is a go-to-track across old skool, nu skool and TV advertised compilation albums. In other incarnations, via their Ice Cream Records label, as 10 Below, Kardinal Beats, and as executive producers for TrueSteppers, have produced and remixed a string of club and chart hits from the aforementioned Double 99’s dance anthem “RipGroove”, to Truesteppers featuring Victoria Beckham & Dane Bowers’ “Out Of Your Mind”, receiving a spattering of gold discs en route. The single went on to Number 1 in the mid-week charts selling just under 200,000 units in the first week alone. Double 99 and RiP Productions have established dj credentials, having played at many venues in both the UK, and internationally including Glastonbury Music Festival, Miami WMC, Ministry Of Sound (London, Ibiza, and worldwide), Fabric – London, Pacha (Ibiza and London), Twice As Nice (London, Ibiza and world- wide), Cream, and numerous events in France, Germany, Italy, Ireland (Dublin and Cork) and various UK cities including Bristol, Leeds, Manchester, Newcastle, Glasgow, Edinburgh and Belfast. Both Double99 and R.i.P Productions have an extensive back catalogue of club and underground hits which feature in their dj sets, including ‘Jump’, ‘Oh Baby’, ‘Obsessed’ and the vocal smashes ‘My Love’ featuring Kele Le Roc, and ‘Where’s Your Love’ Craig David featuring Tinchy Stryder & Rita Ora. Most recently, R.i.P Productions performed a club mix on multi-Grammy & Golden Globe winner Sam Smith’s vocals for exclusive use in their DJ sets.
