- swiss techno artist & 50% of wort.kargdrompojke (Manuel Meienberger / born in 1990) is a Swiss electronic music artist. At the tender age of 11 he began playing drums and thus has a strong sense of rhythm. He mainly finds his inspiration for the «project drompojke» in the complexity and enormous expressiveness of the music. With the purchase of his first own DJ equipment drompojke fulfilled a lifetime dream. Shortly after, he started to work as a DJ at parties and small events. In January 2013 drompojke got the chance to show his DJ skills at the legendary «Stairs Club» in Zurich – a formative experience until today. So far, he has been DJing at «Komplex Klub», «Topas Club», «Tunnel Club», «Stairs Club» or at outdoor raves such as «Klangheimlich» in Southern Germany. While at the beginning of his career drompojke almost exclusively played hard and rough techno, he is increasingly discovering the deeper and more melodic facets of the genre nowadays. drompojke has his own vision of music and consistently implements it by following his motto «in the end it all comes down to the music». drompojke also is 50% of «wort.karg» which is a new artists' project of drompojke & Ma.Me focussing on the deeper side of electronic music. ∞ ♡ drompojke (Manuel Meienberger / geb. 1990) ist ein Schweizer DJ und Produzent im Bereich der elektronischen Musik. Bereits im zarten Alter von 11 Jahren begann er Schlagzeug zu spielen, weshalb er ein ausgeprägtes Taktgefühl besitzt. Die Inspiration für das «Werk drompojke» findet er vor allem in der Komplexität und enormen Ausdruckskraft der Musik. Mit dem Kauf des ersten eigenen DJ-Equipments erfüllte drompojke sich einen Lebenstraum und kurz darauf folgten auch bereits erste Gigs an kleineren Partys. Im Januar 2013 erhielt drompojke die Chance, im legendären «Stairs Club» in Zürich aufzulegen. Ein für ihn bis heute prägendes Erlebnis. Es folgten weitere Auftritte im «Stairs Club», «Komplex Klub», «Topas Club», «Tunnel Club» und an Outdoor Raves wie etwa «Klangheimlich» in Süddeutschland. Spielte drompojke in den Anfängen seiner Karriere praktisch ausschliesslich härten und rauen Techno, so setzt er sich heutzutage vermehrt mit den «deeperen» und melodiöseren Facetten des Genres auseinander. drompojke hat seine ganz eigene Vision von Musik und setzt diese, getreu seinem Motto «in the end it all comes down to the music», konsequent um. drompojke ist zudem 50% des Künstlerduos «wort.karg».
